2020/2021 COVID UPDATES: Lessons will continue this winter with modifications to satisfy the latest and most current AHS recommendations. The Kingswood Shelter will be open but will not be used as a warm-up facility during lessons; skiers are encouraged to arrive dressed or use their vehicles to dress before the lessons. Lessons will be adjusted to smaller groups to maintain physical distancing and limit the number of people on site at one time to 50 (including parents, coaches and skiers). Only one parent per child will be permitted to attend and a COVID screening checklist will need to be completed prior to each lesson. The use of masks during lessons is encouraged.

1. Bunnies and Jack Rabbits (ages 4-12, beginners to skill level 3)
Bunnies Program: a learn to ski program suitable for younger beginner skiers aged 4 to 6 yrs old. This program focuses on having fun and developing some of the basic skills in cross-country skiing. The program leads kids progressively through different skills, all geared towards improving their comfort level and technique on skis.
Jack Rabbits Program: this program focuses on more advanced skills and is geared towards improving ski techniques in classic along with an introduction to skate skiing.

Four coaches will teach at each set of lessons. Both Bunny and Jack Rabbit lessons will be offered at each of these times but the groups will be divided at the first lesson based on ability. All lessons will run January 9, 2021 to March 16, 2021 in Kingswood Park and the Lower Riverlot.

All lessons will run January 10, 2021 to March 14, 2021 in the Upper Riverlot (please meet at the Upper Riverlot Sign in the upper parking lot).
Sundays from 2:30pm to 4:00pm

A $50 volunteer bond will be required for all youth program registrations via cheque deposit at the start of the season. Cheques must be submitted when families pick up their ski rentals or, if not renting equipment, on the first day of lessons. Cheques will be shredded at the end of the ski season for all families that complete a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer time. Opportunities for volunteering will be provided in a sign-up sheet on a first come, first served basis. For any questions regarding the volunteer duties, please contact our volunteer coordinator Victor at (please put SANSC in the subject line).
Please arrive at your lessons early to help your kids find their groups and instructors. If the parking lot is full, there is alternate parking in the Kingswood neighborhood across the street.
