St. Albert Nordic Ski Club Adult Lessons 2017 – 2018

The St. Albert Nordic Ski Club (SANSC) hosts various lessons and clinics for adults. If you are looking to start skiing, become a better skier, improve on specific areas of your technique, or perhaps attempt some of the numerous Alberta Loppets, check out our lessons and programs!

We offer equipment rentals to registered participants of “Adult Novice/ Classic Lessons”.  The rental fee is $75 which includes waxable skiis, boots and poles and is to be paid on-line on the same form that you complete to register as a club member and for the adult novice lesson. Use of the equipment is only for the duration of your course and will be issued to you at your first lesson day. It is to be returned on the last lesson date. There is also a $250 deposit required to be provided at your first lesson along with the completed Equipment Rental form at the bottom of this page. (Sorry - we do not have skate ski rental equipment)

Note: All participants must be members of either St. Albert Nordic Ski Club or Edmonton Nordic Ski Club in order to register for adult lessons. An individual SANSC membership is $25 and a family membership for two or more skiiers residing in the same household is $50.  Each member must also pay a Cross Country Alberta fee of $8 and a Cross Country Canada fee of $10 (these fees cover the insurance requirements).  A registered adult may be accompanied by a registered teenage youth family member but the lessons are intended for adults.

Drop-In Ski Nights (complimentary with your membership in any local cross country ski club)

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45pm to 6:45pm.

Join us for an after work ski in a small group with other local cross country ski enthusiasts. Bring your equipment and wax - if you're new to waxing, someone will be available to help you learn the basics.  Explore the trails by moonlight (or headlamps - recommended!).  Meet at the Kingswood Shelter to organize ski routes at 5:45pm. Note: the Kingswood Shelter does have public washrooms.
